The Digital Media and Developing Minds National Congress commenced as guests from around the globe checked in at Grace Auditorium. The range of attendees differed in not only their origins, with some coming as far as Australia and Hong-Kong, but also in their backgrounds and accomplishments. Interdisciplinary experts representing the fields of neuroscience, pediatrics, psychiatry, psychology, communications, education, public health, epidemiology and others gathered at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory for an incredible week of thought-provoking keynote and panel presentations, as well as poster and flash talk sessions, and a Tools and Methodologies Exposition with live demonstrations by exhibitors.
After receiving all of the necessary materials to ensure a stimulating stay, guests were able to take a breather and embrace the beauty of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. Live music provided by pianists Pablo Lavandera and Evelyn Ulex serenaded the hall, and Congress guests enjoyed complimentary champagne and cheese while getting to know each other, the excitement brewing for the days to come.
